Prairie Oak Media, LLC was founded on April 22, 2009. My goal is to build or acquire a network of diversified websites in order to “rebuild” a full-time “work from home” income. I have been working with websites since 1999, and have been a full time “work at home dad” since 2005.
During The Great Recession of 2008-2009, I came to realize the importance of having a diversified business portfolio that was not completely held in one company. The Vision for POM begin in January, 2009 while vacationing in Rockport, Texas. Faced with a decline in income at my primary business, I began to ask myself the question:
“If I had to start over today, could I do it again?”
Remember, I have already built a successful online business once. However, none of us like facing the prospect of starting over again, even at age 36. I have read countless blogs and ebooks about affiliate marketing and internet marketing, but my full-time business has so far kept me from exploring the effort required to start a new business from scratch in 2009, ten years after I started my first.
